Motion Blur & Filesize

I was just playing around with something and noticed this: the normal WMV output was 9 MB, but if I set the Motion Blur to 13 frames or so, the filesize went down to about 3 MB.

Why? Is there somehow less info being saved? The clip is the same length...so I'm just baffled. :)

that's weird. I really couldnt' tell you, as I don't know much about how WMV is encoded, but the closest thing I can think of is that since it is saving i frames, motion blur makes the frames much more similar, thus making the final file size much smaller.

Would make alot of sense. Cause if you do the opposite and add animated noise/grain to a clip, the wmv file will probably be like at least 2x the size. (just from personal experience)
