MOTION 3: Match Move issue, no source footage

Hey guys, need help again. I have a video I need to Match Move to a monitor. The monitor was filmed with green screen taped to it. And I have a video I want to overlay on to it.

This is what I did. I took the clip of the monitor I filmed from FCP and sent it to Motion 3. Then I took the video I want to overlay and I dragged it over the original footage. I select the video I want to Match Move then apply the Match Move effect.

This is where I have problems. Other tutorials I have looked at have said that the March Move effect will automatically detect the source footage. But that is not the case with my footage. How do I make Match Move detect the source footage? There is a empty square under the Inspector Tab that says 'Source'. The footage is supposed to show up in that square right? When I click the square nothing happens. Also I try to click what looks like a drop down box next to the square and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong, or what is it that I'm missing?

Thanks

I think you might find the answer to your question in the Motion Supplemental Documentation on Apple's support site under "Match Move Workflows."

It's not automatic- first you have to add a motion tracking behavior and then tell the markers what part of the image you want to track and then track it. Then you add a match move behavior onto the item you want to follow and drop that motion track into it.
