A thread named after me - Im flattered
But motion control of both cameras and other elements is an established sport. Mark Roberts in the UK for example has been doing this for ages as has The Marmalade in germany and many others.
The only 'special' thing about my contstruction is that it is $3k of bits and many hours by me and some chums.. which is cheaper than the $1000000 you will drop on a proper camera robot.
Also my machine is, unlike anything affordable, modular so that one can split it so 2 channels can move the camera while the third does something else, be that spin a product or pour a drink.
Here is the current, non released, reel of what Im up to. Im waiting for the 3d scan to come back from a 3d guy and then I can do the fonts and release it to a client audience..
