More test shots & slo-mo randomness

I think the HVX slo mo looks much better if the shutter degrees are cut down from 180 to 120 or 90. The slo mo with the stock shutter setting looks like video slo mo. With the shutter cut down the slow mo looks more like film.

imho

Some of those shots look so filmic --- the shot of the woman at the end of that beautiful leading line, etc... Were you using an M2 (or like)?

I suspect that the slight stutter in the slow-mo is do to you compressing it at 12 or 15fps(?) rather than the shutter speed. Correct?

And, yes, that last shot is absolutely hysterical. Great job!

I actually haven't touched the shutter button on the HVX. That's something I'll have to experiment with on slo-mo.

It's encoded at the native frame rate of 24fps. No 35mm adapter, i've used the G35 on my DVX and this will be the adapter I buy for my HVX.

Very nice looking footage. The shot on the dock lined up with the railing is the MONEY.. Looks demo reel good. Congrats.

I too like the goofy ending.. Man a green lawn looks sweet with the HVX. I can't do that here as we are in a drought and my lawn looks like crap.

Experimenting with the shutter is a lot of fun. I like 90 degrees and also 350 for what that does. There's a whole ton of stuff to check with the camera and it's like only now after 2 months am I even getting around to some of it...

Thanks for sharing...

ARGH- the download speed was too slow for me- but I did watch the begining- and from what I saw I liked it. Seeing seattle bring back great memeries.

As others have said, nice work!
Got to get me a HVX ....

Im glad to see someone else act a little crazy to see how the 60p works...trust me, i've done it alot....my main concern is the blurry subjects shooting without shutter. Shoot with a shutter under 500. You'll see a big difference in your shots. I wish i knew this before i started shooting on my main project!
