So I've been trying to send my FX guy some shots for him to work on in AfterEffects. I put the shots in a sequence that came out to be about four and a half minutes long. The footage was 16:9 NTSC-DV captured from the DVX. I've been trying to FTP him the file, but it's been taking forever. The file is 6.6GB. He said that the filesize sounds too big, even for raw DV, so I need to re-examine my export settings and make sure I'm doing this correctly. I just want to give him the best quality footage with which to work so when I get it back it will gel with the other footage.
Here's how I've been exporting...
Export>Using Quicktime Conversion>Settings>
Compression Type>Animation
Compressor Quality>Best
Size>NTSC 720 x 480 16:9
No sound was included. Any thoughts on this one? I need to get that footage to him asap.
Thanks!
