More audio problems in VEGAS

I have a section where I have several tracks layered with audio effects. When I play it back in VEGAS, they get off time, which I'm assuming happens because of the size of the clips. But, when I render it, some of the effects aren't transferred. In other words, I lose a lot of the SFX. What could be causing this? Does the volume have to be set at a certain level, or am I limited by how many audio tracks I can run at once?

Please help.

Jeff

You are not limited at all on your number of tracks. Are you rendering Ac3 files? I have heard of issues were Ac3 files sound quiet.

I can see playback being off from video. Change your video quality to draft and it should sinc up with the video again but you video will look bad. This will not effect render quality.

Explain what your trying to do?

The audio problem

I'm filming a feature... at one point in the film, I've layered about five different audio tracks. When it's played back, even with draft quality, there is a lag in audio. When it's rendered, it does not pick up some of the tracks, and the others lag as well. This only happens during the SFX sequences. During normal dialogue, it's fine.

I'm wondering if there is a certain setting that the audio preferences needs to be put on.

Any help would be appreciated...

Jeff

I got it taken care of... I was setting effects for an entire track of audio rather than setting the effects for the individual SFX. I guess this is analogous to setting an entire video track to a Magic Bullet effect or a single segment of footage. The audio is fine, now. Thanks for the help, guys.

By the way, they are external SFX.
