Morbidly Curious about this

in the description they claim it defies the laws of physics.

Capable of detecting near whispers at more than 100 feet

right then.

Imagine how easy this can make event work where you are shooting from a significant distance yet need to pick up clean crisp audio from the source.

OH NO FELLAS ! this mic has put us all out of the job!!!

the minimum pro level shotgun is the rode ntg1 at about 250. You would be better off with the at4073a at 550.

Unless you just think you need a shotgun and what you really need is a hyper.

I went ahead and bought the B & H Rode NTG 2 kit.

It seems like a good deal but since I'm not an audio guy by default, I'm not too educated in what the best this or that is. We use Schoeps at my real job, but I leave all the audio work up to the audio guys. In my research I was balancing budget/quality. I'll be using it for a lot of non broadcast indoor/outoor (shhhh) side job stuff, and also independent films.

Any comments on this kit?
