If you’re a filmmaker, particularly in Southern California, there’s still time to enter Monterey Park’s first annual short film contest before the Oct. 21, '07 deadline. The contest is a community organized, non-profit event put on by city volunteer commissioners. There’s cash prizes as well as an invitation to a DGA event in store for the top finishers. One of the requirements is that portions of your film must be shot in Monterey Park. Monterey Park is a city of about 63k in the Los Angeles suburbs. See the website for complete rules and info.
I apologize if this is not posted in the correct location. Thanks for your consideration.
