mono vo mixdown to stereo?

in my fcp project, i have a mono VO track and a stereo pair for the music. i have mixdown on the audio mixer selected and while previewing it outputs the mono VO track (track 1) to both stereo ouputs. however, when i export the movie (using qt conversion), the mono track only comes out on track 1.

how can i get track 1 exported to both stereo channels?

In FCP, double click the mono VO track to open it from the Timeline window into the Viewer window. Set the Pan control to zero. Done.
