Hi all.

I'm looking for a monopod. I did a search here and it I found the Bogen 562B monopod recommendation...

any other suggestion? is this it or are they any better and or cheaper options keeping the quality?

Do you think is a bad idea to shoot the entire wedding with a monopod?

I'm doing a one camera job for my friends wedding but I'm feeling a bit worry about flying with my sachtler...for safety and complications...so I'm thinking on bringing a monopod instead.

any ideas? thanks you...thank you...

I read here all the time..all the time....thanks for everything.

Peace

I like a mono pod although it rarely touches the floor. I find it makes bracing the camera much easier against the old steady-gut. It does touch the carpet when I'm on break as it takes the weight off. I like mono pods that have knobs as opposed to twist locks since those always seem to gum up. I have a cheap manfrotto three section and it works fine. If you plan on doing long telephoto shots you may be disappointed, it's not a tripod for sure. Sometimes I'll put the pod down and brace the camera against the wall, a railing or some such when I have no choice.

thanks motoriley.

So it sounds like you are saying that shooting the entire wedding on monopod is not so bad, right?
also it sound like you are using it as a stabilizer....ummm I'll do that too..just worry about the long steady shots.

Any recommendations for monopods?
ideas?

Thaks for
