Monitors, Has anyone tried this?

I was wondering if anyone has used the LCDs people put in cars as a field monitor.
I am about to try it...

Yes it's been done plenty of times. Are you shooting mini DV or HDV?

If you do a search there are several threads on the subject.
 
Yeah, I did exactly that.But I use it only as a better view finder.
For color/light critic shots I use a little Sony Triniton.
