I am editing on FCP a feature shot on the dvx100a (24pa) with anamorphic lens. (Thank you for the anamorphic focus chart, and the DVX book!) Have it digitized and ready for editing, and I need to buy the right professional monitor for this next phase.
We used a JVC TM-910SU 9" field monitor during production, but I suspect that will be too small while editing to check focus accurately, etc. At the upper end price range there's the JVC DT-V1710CG 17", which could be used on an HD shoot in the future. At the lower end there is the Sony PVM-20L1, for about $1500 less.
Any suggestions?
