Monitor(s) for editing HVX footage

I'm building a new system now, and my big concern right now is the monitor setup.
I can afford either a single 24" monitor at 1900x1200 resolution (Dell 2407WFP), or I can get two 22" monitors at 1680x1050 each.

My question is: will the two 22" setup be suitable resolution-wise to deal with 1080 footage from the HVX, or is the 1900x1200 resolution monitor suggested or recommended, or better for HVX editing for some reason?

I've read a lot about how once you've used 2 monitors in your computer setup you'll never be able to go back to one.

I just upgraded to two Dell 2005FPWs (20" each), and I'm super happy with the set up. I'm using FCP's Cinema Preview so that the 2nd monitor shows me my timeline footage, and it looks fantastic. It's good enough for me to judge sharpness and coloring.

For you, it really depends how you intend to set up your system. One 24" high-res monitor isn't gonna do you much good if you can't see your footage and your edits at the same time.
