MONITOR powering question

So I have the really cool IKAN monitor

But the thing isnt working with the batteries for whatever reason. I have been told its a common problem with the monitor. Now I can return it and wait another three weeks to get a new one. But I really need it this week. So my question is this. It works fine when connected with the ac adaptor. How can I power it without having to use a heavy generator. Are there like small portable power sources that i can carry along to power the monitor? i ve seen people power their laptops with little battery chargers i wonder if there is one for what i need.

thanks

ahhh. sorry Pimp. I saw your PM first. Yes, I bought 2 tekkeon mp3400 and I really like them. I might even get a few more.
you are welcome to come see the ones I have if you are in LA.

It is my understanding, after getting some info from our customer who was running into the battery problem with their IKAN, that it has something to do with the power on moment. They were able to make it work on a Sony battery after initially powering it up using AC power. It sounds like Ikan uses a lot of power on turn on, causing the battery to go into a short circuit protect (opening up it's internal circuit breaker). So your option is to try a high power battery like Luis suggested.
