The question I have is mounting the battery plate on the back of it. It doesn't fit right???

I don't have the Marshall I have the 7 inch Ikan but the battery plate didn't fit. There is a plastic tab at the top of the plate that prevented it from being inserted all the way. That tab is supposed to lock the plate down once it is inserted but on mine it prevented me from getting the plate installed. I accidentally broke that tab off and now the plate fits fine.
 
I own this monitor, and I had no problems mounting a Sony L style battery plate on the back of the monitor.

I do find the Sony L batteries a bit of a tight fit, but I have heard that this will slowly loosen up over time.
