You can get it right here for $500, so $700 is a bit much, good monitor though.

yes this is a good monitor. I have it and it's great. It has underscan , Switchable aspect ratio and Blue Gun.

I am thinking of getting this monitor too. What would I need in order to hook it up to FCP? Would firewire to my DVX100B then to s-video or rca work?

I believe so but I use a Canopus ADVC110 and it's defintely worth the money. you can run the s-video out or get some BNC to RCA adapters. Also the ADVC 110 had connector on the front so you can plug another device into it via RCA/Svideo and record straight through into the computer via it's firewire.
