Monitor is flickering during playback

I have my TV hooked up through the video outputs of my DVX for monitoring the output video. When I play the video back the TV plays it, but it flickers and jumps around. When I play the video straight off of the camera into the TV it doesnt do it. I looked through the settings for Final cut and they all looked right to me.

Has anybody ever experienced this?

sounds like FCP isnt adding a pulldown (I assume you shot 24p), and/or your fields are wrong.
 
Yes all footage was shot in 24pA. I am editing on a 23.97 timeline using advanced pulldown.
 
then you have the wrong pulldown.
24P and 24PA have different pulldowns.
one is 2:3:3:2 or 3:2:2:2 something like this.
Check FCP manual.
 
I am using 2:3:3:2 to capture my footage into a 23.98 timeline. from my understanding that is the right pulldown cadence for 24pA.

I will just have to play with it some more I guess.
