Monitor and camera on single battery

I've got the HVX200, Marshall 7" Monitor (Panny Battery Mod), and a Glidecam 4000. I'm trying to set up the sled with a traditional setup, using the monitor and battery as counterweights. Has anyone tried to power the camera and monitor off of a single Panasonic/Spec-Comm battery? The monitor and battery on a single side throws off the balance and moving it toward the center really doesn't work. Any advice or ideas?

Do you really need the monitor when your glidecaming? I use a Glidecam 2000 and don't use my monitor..because unless you are using the full steadycam jacket and all it would be too heavy to use.

I do have a smooth shooter. I have a hard time with the on camera LCD, especially with the camera in "Low Mode"
