Money Tight situation!

Well, basicly my buddy in Chicago is Going to be Casting a Gaming Lan Event, And he needs to have atleast one camera to Film it, and the Camera must have Minijack Audio Input, and Svideo Out. The real problem is money, He wont be getting paid for this event for awhile after, and no contract has been written on it - so he doesnt want to spend 3000 dollars on a DVX (I already tried convincing him)
So what would be a Cheapo Alternitive that would be good enough for Streaming live video?

So how did this guy get a job where a camera is required, yet he has none? As it is, to answer your question, any mini dv camera is good enough for streaming live video, there are programs available that let you convert the fire wire signal to a compatable signal for video streaming. All he has to make sure is to get a camera with a minijack audio input and S video out.
 
The first one is for COD2 I think, but if we get this deal we will be doing lan's all over the US. I think its a 200 man lan, pretty large.
