Moldy sandwich...still good to eat?

OK so I am at work, I open up my sammy I made this morning and the ****er has mold on it. ****!

So do I just tear off the mold (its on like 10-15% of the bread on one side) and eat the sandwich? I don't really have anything else to eat.

If I tear it off and start eating it, I may start thinking halfway through it about that mold and may feel a bit pukey.

Life is full of tough decisions.

Here's the deal: the mold you see, is only part of the mold that exists. Mold has tiny vein-like roots that emanate from the dark spots. So just because you tear off the color, doesn't mean the mold is gone. Now, cheese is mold, so I guess it's safe to eat right? But I would be very weary about bread mold. My guess is the bread was moldy before you assembled the sandwich in the first place.

Advise: Throw the damn thing away. If there are leftovers in my fridge for more then two days, I won't eat them, that's it.

To eat or not to eat, that is the question.

Well, I say go for it! (I would, but I tend to be a little crazy like that. ) besides the mold was probably there when you made the sandwich, which means that the rest of the sandwich should be fine.

If you've got close access to a delivery place, you could always have them delver lunch to you, it is still earily enough in the day where you could opt for pizza, mexican, or italian .... mmmm italian .......

Learn something new every day! Well in that case, remove the bread and eat the rest! (You could pass it off like you on that carb diet.) I've seen restraunts offer sandwiches without the bread ....

What JoeFowler said makes sense. But he has Ralph as his avatar which isn't a good sign. Ralph has been known to eat worms and enjoys sleeping during class (because that's when he's a viking). Don't trust anything Ralph Wiggum says, ...eat the sandwich!!! :)

Think of it as penicillin. It will be easier to swallow, knowing it will kill bacteria inside your body :engel017:

Well fellas I appreciate the help...

Verdict: I decided to not order out and start eating the sandwich after tearing a bit more than the moldy parts off, I got about halfway done and couldn't get it out of my head what JoeFolwler said about I am probably still eating mold and I couldn't finish it. I swear I could smell the mold all around me! Had to throw away a half a delicious sandwich. I started feeling sickly. I could picture the mold veins growing all around in my stomach. Odd trees growing here and there.

Now I am eating a bunch of sugar to try and get rid of the thoughts of vomit. Damn you mold! I feel like if I even burp a tiny bit that some vomit might come up and I probably couldn't hold it back.

Ya know the old expression:

What doesn't kill you...

You could do all of humanity a favor and put this to a test.

It should be noted that a lack of a follow up post might indicative that this wasn't the wisest idea after all. Oh well...

Want to get rid of those thoughs?

Option #1: Drink some hot sauce - your mouth will be on fire, and you'll stop thinking about the mold.

OPtion#2: Hit your thumb with a hammer - it'll hurt, but you'll stop thinking about the mold ...

You could have thrown away the moldy piece of bread, than folded the other piece of bread over to make the top layer, and eaten it like that.

Just a thought.

You know sugar stimulates the growth of molds, don't you? When you combine it with the acids in your stomach, you should probably be reading this in a hospital  .

No worry, though... there is a cure to everytyhing! (it may just not be known to man). In the meantime, drink

Just to be on the safe side I have decided to go out and eat lunch today. I'm not even going to look at the sandwich I brought to work :)

So you threw the sandwich away?!!

What would Momma say? "Don't you know there are hungry children in :(insert name of impoverished 3rd world country): ?"

"Shame, shame!"

I always loved that quote/saying. What a joke! I mean what are you going to do about it? Mail the wasted food to them? If so, by the time it gets to them it will be so bad that it'll kill them. Then they'll die from poisoning instead of starvation ...

I'm eating low-carb hot pockets right now. This is one of the most disgusting things I've ever eaten.
