MOD playback in Vegas displays garbage

Hey all,

I've been having problems importing MOD files (These are coming off an SD camera that is saving directly to an SD card). The files are some form or QuickTime, and they play fine as a QuickTime file outside of Vegas. When I bring them into Vegas, they play mostly ok, but I get segments with just garbage video (Big blocks of color that flash on and off) for a few seconds and then continues to play fine. Anyone know why this might be happening?

I am using Vegas Pro 8. I have also tried Vegas Movie Studio 9, and I have tried this on at least 4 different hardware setups (4 completely different machines). I get the same results on all.

I'd appreciete any help or suggestions on how to defeat this evil

OK - I found a solution. So thanks those of you who took a look. Apparently Vegas will import these files, but will not play them 100% correct. I just got a MOD converter and after I convert them to AVI or WMV everything is fine. Thanks, and hopes this helps others who run into this annoying issue -
