Mobile wafian HR-1? Cineform on the go?

Okay here is the thing the cineform wafian hr-1 is to expensive for most of us at $15k, but what if they had a mobile product for around 6k?

This is what I am thinking now that the core duo chips are out laptops are very fast. If Cineform uses 2 100gb laptop drives and a core duo chip they could make a portable unit that maybe doesn't have all the features like the screen but can just select from presets and record. This system would record over 3 hours to the hardrives or 1.5 in raid 1. Then you could simply transfer your footage to your own storage setup. I guess the workflow would be similiar to the hvx200 with p2 cards but you would get 10bit and over 3 hours of recording time!
Also because laptop drives use less power you could have a removable battery on it that can provide power. 3 batteries for all day shoot would be amazing! And I know that the wafian is really just a computer but so are laptops so I think it can be done.

Anybody that supports this idea or opposes please post. If enough people want it they will need to make it.

It will likely happen, a mobile Wafian, but not with today's Yonah based core duo chips. Now the up coming Merom (core 2 duo) maybe fast enough for 720p60 10bit and 1920x1080p30/i60 10-bit -- not sure yet. If you only needed 720p24/25 10-bit then the yonah part is fast enough. Start you requests at www.wafian.com.

Thank you sir. I read that cineform codec is really optimized for multiple processors how about 2 core 2 duo processors? Huh huh yeah I bet you didn't see that coming.:)
