MKH50 or MKH60 - which to start with?

I plan on having both of these mics in my arsenal soon, but one at a time...I have no other mics besides a wireless atm, Which one would I be better off with to do both interior and exteriors until I get the other?

I agree. Get the 60 first. Works well indoors and outdoors. They 50 is not that great for exterior dialogue

Thanks guys...I do about 60-70% of my shoots indoors and used a 4073a, but it had much to much echo...MKH60 will hopefully be adequated until I can pick up the hyper...The MK41 is also a top notch hyper...how does this handle outdoor shooting?

stay with the 4073 for extiriors , add hipper cardioid for indors , doesnt really matter what brand (if it good one ) , the Sen have more rf resistence and les problems with picking the florosent noice and less problems with humidity , but these issius are not really working for me since mt ears like the schoeps more . another point for schoeps its modular system , you can add aditional capsuls with time , you can add collet cable for placing the mike as a plant mike or use it on the boom in very low silling situations .
the mkh 60 is not my favorit mike ass well -but thats me .
