Hey all,
So I am looking to expand my audio "kit"- I am looking at the MKH60 & 70. I have used the mkh 60 before on a project and I really liked its sound - seemed very natural to me. But, I may be able to get a mkh 70 for the same price as a 60. Now I know the 70 is more of a focused shotgun then the 60 but is it significantly so?
I currently have a Sanken CS1 - which most people only like it for indoors. I have used the MKH 416 almost exclusively for outdoor work (rented). I'm thinking one of the Sennheisers can help out for outdoor work as opposed to the CS1.
How do footsteps sound with the MKH 70 - are they too "off" with that much directivity? Their specs seem to match with the exception of the directivity of the 70. Thoughts?
