Enough gain for what?
The Oktava MK012 has a reputation for having lower-than-average sensitivity. AND higher-than-average self-noise. AND higher-than-average handling noise.
If you mean will the MK012 work well in a typical amateur production situation with amateur actors who don't know how to speak, in a unsuitably noisy location, and on a boom too far away, then it is probably safe to assume that the MK012 won't work all that well. And a mic preamp with more gain isn't necessarily the solution to ANY of those problems.
The 012's self noise (and low output) is rarely the problem, noisy preamps are.
FWIW, the 012 has about the same output and self-noise as the venerable Neumann MK84.. however, Neumanns were pretty consistent from one to the next, not so with the Oktava (at least the older ones) some sound very good, others can sound very bad or anywhere in between.
