I've been searching the interweb but cant find the answer. Basically looking to find out if the Zacuto base and Riser will be able to work with the SGpro Flip. I can't tell if the Zacuto plate can shift from left to right like the SGbase but I know the Zacuto riser will work just fine with the SGbase to "snorkle up".

i got the zacuto and sgpro bundle and it works fine.
you don't even need the z-riser, just get the baseplate and the q-release mount to save some money. that q-release is basically the base unit for the riser. you'll need a 44mm raise, the q-release has 45. that last 1mm is easily adjustable with the baseplate.
btw, it gets pretty clear on the zacuto website that the baseplate is adjustable in every direction... just check the item photos.

I have the Flip though so if I want to go snorkel up then I will need the riser, yes? As for the details about the x and y adjustment I must have read past them a bunch of times, otherwise I would have never asked.
edit: Ok I see what you mean now, almost thought you were being a jerk but freakin' a I guess im just slow. They have so many products it took me forever to find.

did the Q-release come with rods? is it included for the price of $175 or a add on accessory?
(is it long enought to put a matte box too?)
