I have a scene coming up. And I am planning on shooting with two cameras. Problem is I only have one brevis. Is there anyway to mix stock footage with brevis footage? I am thinking with tweeking in post i could achieve this.

The brevis is a pretty clear adapter, with some CCing in post you should be good, If you want shallower DOF then just zoom in with the hvx and block up the talent as needed, but I think you already knew that... The best way of doing it is shooting, get as shallow DOF in the camera to match the Brevis, and then leave everything else to post, NLE's are so powerful nowadays you can pretty much achieve any look... hope that helps PIMP.

Richarge Darge shot an extensive series mixing bare HVX footage and HVX/Brevis footage throughout. A 50mm f1.4 lens is typically at infinity focus anyway beyond 30ft meaning that unless you have objects in the close foreground, the bare HVX will work just great for these shots. So on wide shots (typically outdoors) they used the HVX. Indoors when wider shots are needed, you'll find a fast 20mm is great.

Are there any special tips to getting the footage to match?

Perhaps don't try to 'match' it, and take advantage of using two different 'mediums'. Can either 'promote' shallow focus, or use it only when appropriate.
eg: adapter - wide, video - long.
adapter - wide, video - wide.
adapter - long, video - wide.
adapter - long, video - long.
Endless possibilities :)
