Mixing sizes of P2 in camera

Well, the manual and the HVX book aren't explicit, and a search was not specific either ...

I now have a 4Gb and an 8 GB card. Can I use both in the camera at the same time? just wanted to be sure before plugin. thanks.

You should be fine. Just think of it as two different hard drive sizes.
With the 4 gig you are more likely to span a clip over to the second card so MAKE SURE you copy the "last clip" file with your transfer.

One problem is that mixing two different card sizes will likely prevent continuous recording.

If you have two or more cards of equal size, then you should be able to record continuously by offloading to a P2 Store or PCMCIA/PCCard laptop because the time it takes to copy the P2 card contents off of it should be less than the time it takes to fill it.

If you have one 4GB and one 8GB cards, you'll run into a problem as soon as you try to offload the 8GB card while recording to the 4GB card. With the extra time it takes for handling and formatting, you will probably fill up the 4GB card before the 8GB card is ready again.
