Mixing Progressive and Interlaced video in timeline

I am shooting a Pageant this weekend with 3 different cameras. Canon HG 21 at 1080i60, Panasonic AG-HMC150 at 1080i60 and a Canon 7d at 1080p30. All 3 will be used in the cut. Obviously I am going to have some interlaced and progressive footage. I was planning on using Apple Pro Res, 1920x1080 upper field first sequence in FCP 7. Any problem with mixing in the progressive clips from 7D into this? Also, the final output sadly will be DVD, so when I go to export to compressor, should I enable frame controls and set output fields to progressive, upper, lower, or same as source? If I choose progressive, or upper/lower, I then have to deinterlace, which I would set at best. Or do I just leave frame controls off?
Thanks for any advice.

I use the deinterlace plugin from within fcp and it seems to work just fine with the other progressive stuff. Had a very similar setup to what you are doing.

I would suggest you put the hmc150 in 30p though.

I had thought about doing that, but since I will be doing a lot of quick panning and possibly zooming, I figured to go with 1080i60 to avoid any type of strobing I might encounter with the slower frame rate. Thanks for the reply.

I had the same problem , i used a dvx100-E 50i and 7D 50P and 1080 24P ... edited in a 1080p timeline then mixed in the SD footage saw the interlaced so exported the whole clip to mpeg stream clip clicked the deinterlace box it came out very nice , does anybody else do this method?
