I'm changing cameras from Panasonic to a Sony and I've been used to converting my AVCHD files to AVI and converting my DSLR footage to cineform AVI but now I'll have the MPEG2 files mixed with my converted MOV files and I'm not sure if that's an issue or not. I use my DSLR for B Roll etc and edit it on the same timeline, will that screw it up? I can convert my MPEG2 files with cineform I think, but not sure. I just figured it's better to have all the same file types in your timeline for max efficiency but maybe it doesn't matter as much as when I had AVCHD to contend with, any opinions on this?? Thanks in advance!
