Mixing lav's with a shotgun

I plan on doing a shoot with an indoor and an outdoor scene. The indoor scene takes place within a small room with one person. I planned on booming that person with short shotgun, like the Sanken CS-1. The outdoor scene is a dialog between two people which I may use lav's on because of wide shots. My questions are:

If I use lav's for the outdoor scene, would the quality difference between the indoor recordings and the outdoor recordings be noticeable when cut together?

Also, what lav's would be best to mix with the Sanken? Wired and wireless suggestions would be appreciated?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Booming with a shotgun in a small room is likely to give you lots of nasty echo. You would do better to boom with a hyper mic. If you can't then make sure you cut down the echo as much as possible.

With mixing different scenes in is not crucial that the mics match but within a scene it is tricky to mix lavs with shotguns. I find that Tram 50's mix really well with shotgun mics. Make sure you get lots of room tone with the boom to mix with the lavs for ambient.

If you can get away with wired lavs then that is the way to go. Wireless greatly reduce your sound quality.

Good luck
