mixing Kinos with other lights

I rented a four bank kino flo and I love the light it produces. However since I use a light hungry 35mm adaptor I need more power with the wider shots. The medium and close up shots I have no problems with. I was wondering for wider shots were I cant have the lights too close in the shot. Can I mix in like a 1k soft box to mix in with the kino so it matches the closer shots?.

I ran out of time in my testing of the light.

As long as the color temp is the same you shouldn't have a problem. Watch out for double shadows though. There are no set rules when it comes to lighting, do what fits the scene and your style.
