So here's my problem. I have footage shot in 24p with the HVX and 60i with the Fx1. What I need to do is nest the 60i and 24p sequences into one continuous sequence. Final cut wont let you do this so, is there any other way besides converting all of the 60i footage to 24p? I will not be mixing the HVX footage with the Fx1 footage in the same sequence. I just need to lay the Fx1 and HVX sequences out in a new sequence.

It depends on what your destination framerate is. If it's 60i, then it's easy: just apply a pulldown to the 24p material. Otherwise, you'll have some issues getting 60i to play well in a 24p timeline, even with pulldowns and stuff.

Do you have 5.1.4? Doesn't FCP 6 allow mixing of different formats in the same sequence?
