mixing formats

I tried my first mixed format export and sure enough, I didn't get it right. I mixed some 720/30 with sd footage. I exported using compressor for DVD. I set the bit rate to 790. when I play the rendered file on my computer it freezes near the beginning of where my sd footage begins and I can't play anything past that point. If I play anything before that point it works fine. Could this be a corrupted video file?

Thanks Noah but I haven't even made the DVD. The clip is freezing I had exported from compressor. Would the bit rate affect this file? I tried using another bit of sd footage in the mix so I ruled out a corrupt file. Thanks
