Mixing EX1 and HDV in FCP for DVCProHD output

I am editing a 3 minute show in FCP 6.0.3 with both EX1 footage (1080p30) and HDV 1080i60 footage in it. The majority of the stuff is EX1. I need to deliver on an DVCPRO HD tape later this week. What format should I edit in? Should I transcode the footage or mix it in the timeline?
 
I'd transcode as working a GOP codec inside another GOP codec is going to be a render nightmare. If you don't have very much footage I'd transcode everything into DVCPro HD before you start.
