Mixing DVCPro and DVCam

I am wondering if anyone has tried editing footage from the HVX200 on the same timeline as the Sony Z1u. The HVX200 non-HD format is DVCPRO, and the SonyZ1u non-HD format is DVCAM.

How do Panasonic and Sony formats work together? Can they play nicely, or do they not work well together? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since you shot DV25 with both cameras you should be fine. Just use a generic DV25 codec for the digitizing and then they can play just fine on the same timeline. They will look different, because of the camera differences, but there won't be any red render lines or such. Good luck.
