Mixing CC and CS6 Applications?

I own the CS6 Master Collection (and am really pissed about the new subscription model, but that's a rant for a different thread). My question is:

Say I purchased a single application monthly license, say CC Premiere Pro. Would it work with all the other applications, like say After Effects CS6. Has anyone actually done this? Were there any problems? What I'm guessing would happen is that it would work overall, but certain new CC features wouldn't carry over.

Different versions can be installed on the same drive no problem but, AFAIK, things like Dynamic Link won't work between different versions.

In past iterations of the Creative Suite, in order for Dynamic Link to work between the programs (which is what I assume you're referring to), you had to install them together, as a package, and if you installed them separately, it wouldn't work -- to say nothing of working between different generations.

That said, I can't say for 100% sure it's still that way. I'd hit the Adobe boards and see if that's the case with CC, but I'd bet it is.

You will need the current version of all the programs for full interoperability.

But DI's will still work fine.
