mixing anamorphic glass w/ internal squeeze - dvx100a

i shot a 2-camera set up with two dvx100a's - 1 using the internal squeeze and the other with an anamorphic glass adapter... they don't appear to be the same aspect ratio when i play them on my monitor -- i haven't captured them yet but i'm hoping that the different ratios is something i can solve in the distortion section of the motion tab...

your feedback is appreciated.

Ummm... yeah. Things will look off because there is an inherent difference with the electronic squeeze and an actual physical adapter, the physical adapter would be more true but if you frame it right, the two cameras can work well together, you've just gotta be careful though.

Perhaps shooting one or the other would be best (ie. both cameras on squeeze or buy another anamorphic adapter).

i'm speaking specifically about aspect ratio differences b/w the two -- not the wider angle of the glass or the greater amount of information through the glass, which is nicer -- but the actuality that the squeezed stuff shows as already anamorphic on my monitor without the 16:9 button pushed-in and the glass'd camera isn't made wide until the button is pushed.

in the future i will probably shoot with two adapters - but first i need to figure out the past...
