Mixing 7D and Hpx+Sgblade footage?

Hey, I am about to shoot a music video and my camera B operator ducked out to shoot his own project, taking his HVX with him. Normally I would never mix different cameras, but one of my friends has a 7D and is a pretty good cameraman.

I know this is a really broad question, but how different will the footage look? Will it be usable? I'm skeptical because the 7D looks pretty iffy on most music videos I have seen.

thanks!

Hey man.

I worked as a cameraman for a music video where they used two hmc-150/sgblade setups and a 7d. The footage have been heavily messed with to look like black and white film. We just shot some other band with hmc/sgblade and 7d as well and when I got to see some raw material I could clearly see that 7d is cleaner, higher contrast and more "digital" looking(unless you're using very shallow DOF) than the hmc/sgblade.

However, I think it's only us camera geeks that will really i notice the difference.
Do a small test, see if you find it acceptable :)

adapter footage will always be close to film, as because of the construction, produces less contrasty image, not like hdslr...
