Mixing 6400k and 5600k

This is kind-of a vague question but here goes.. I have 4 soft boxes that use 6400k lamps. I just found out about the cool lights and believe they will hold up better than those cheap one that I purchased. If I mix the two temps do you think this will cause a problem with color?

Well it might not be as versatile as having everything balanced to begin with. But I would say as long as you mix colors with intent.

Thats true if you like the look of the two mixed and thats your intent.

There are a couple of things that could also influence things. If the CRI of the 6400K lamps is lower, it would look terrible being mixed with just about anything. I would say you could try it and see what you think. If you don't like it, you could replace the lamps in your softboxes with N:Vision 5500K bulbs from Home Depot which are well appreciated. Those would mix fine.

It is not my intent. Just trying to upgrade from those cheap ones from Stillshot. Richard thanks for the speedy reply. I posted here because I thought it would take you a while to get back to me..
