I'm trying to mix 25PN and 50P footage in FCP but having a bit of a problem....
2/3 of the footage is 50P so I went with a 50P timeline, but when I add the 25P clips to the same timeline those clips plays back jittery (like they're 10 frames per second...)
Is it my sequence settings or do I need to reformat all the footage to one format?
my current settings are:
- Frame Size: 960x720 HD (960x720) (16:9)
- Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD (960x720)
- Field Dominance: None
- Editing Timebase: 25
QuickTime Video Settings
- Compressor DVCPRO HD 720p50
Is it due to the compressor or because its 25PN and not 25P? I created a new timeline, dragged a 25PN clip to it and let FCP format the timeline automatically, but that didnt help either.
Anytime I change the Compressor settings it asks me to rerender everything and that seems to take forever
