Mixing 24f and 29.97

Ok, i've discovered that all the footage i shot in 24p on the hdx-900 is always going to digitize at 29.97 (at least, that's what the panasonic dealer just told me.)

Unfortunately, my B camera was a XHA1, shooting 24f, which I usually import at 24. The question: to match my A camera, is there a way to capture the Canon footage at 29.97 ?

The shortest work-flow here would be great, as I have a LOT of footage.

thxx.

24f is recorded on tape as 29.97. You can only get it to 23.98 if you take special measures. So if you import normally, the frame rates should match.

I thought the Kona 3 + AJ-HD1200/1400/1700 HD-SDI can take that HDX-900 24p and use 2:3 to give you 23.98? Or though maybe this is crossing into the "special measures" that Shane is referring to. But to me if you have a Panny HD casette camera you should have a corresponding VTR and the Kona 3 (pricey I know, but aren't they as essential as air for this kind of workflow?). Anyway...

Cheers.
