Ok, so I bought a used SD Mix Pre 2 channel mixer, and when I hooked it up to the DVX it sounded awful, it sounded like it was trying to gain and caused tons of static and noise. So I'll tell you what I've discovered by playing with it, and how I have it set up, and maybe someone can help
I've got an AT897 connected to the mixer input through an AT XLR. Then the mixer to the DVX through some Radio Shack XLR.
-I calibrated it by sending out the tone, but even the tone was distorted.
-I tried all variations of the inputs/outputs.
-None of the volumes are tuned up too high.
-I plugged the headphones directly into the mixer, and it sounded great. (except for some reason I could only hear the left channel.)
-I plugged the mic directly into the the DVX and it sounded just fine.
-It does record to the tape.
Any ideas anyone?
