mixer/preamp and echo delay?

If I used a mixer like the Sound Devices MixPre, would it eliminate the echo delay if the boom mic operator was listening to it off the MixPre?

If he listens to the Mixpre monitor then yes. If he listens to camera feedback (as he generally should) then no.
