mixed camera question

Hopefully this is the right forum for this question...

I've been asked to film a dance performance. They want 2 cameras, one close to the stage to focus on 1 or 2 dancers, and one farther away when several dancers are on stage.

I have a dvx100a - my only camera. I've been able to borrow a Sony VX2000. I'm hoping the pictures will be close enough the quality difference will be not too much, with some work in post?

Which camera would you place close and which would you place farther? If the Sony is closer, than the closer proximity might make up for the difference??

All you event videography experts, what do you think?
 
Well, what I know is that the VX2000 may be a mit cleaner i low light, but is interlaced. If you want to match them, you need to put the DVX in interlaced mode.

Other than that, I have not seen a direct comparison of the two of them, so I don't know which one to place closest.
