Missing timelines...please help!

I've been editing for weeks....I rendered 1 of the timelines and now the others are missing. the tabs say "Timeline: (no sequences)". and under windows->timelines only the one timeline is there.

i hope there's a solution. i also wish i could go back in time and save a backup.
 
Did you check the bins? If there are sequences there double clicking on them will reopening the timeline.
 
and i'm an idiot. such a noob. i had made that window smaller.

Another thing I find with sequences the odd time, is a double click won't open them as a new tab in your timeline window. I press .. well now I forgot. ALT or CTRL and double click.. one of those keys.. and all is right with the world.

Sequence Editing Tip: When I edit stories, I use two timeline windows. Window one contains all my trimmed A/B-roll... all cut up nice and clean. Sequence two is my actual story edit. When you drag a clip from one timeline window to another, it acts like a COPY operation. The original timeline (the A/B-roll) is left unchanged. If you tried this within the same timeline/sequence, it would move that clip, and if in editing you delete it, you don't have a copy of it handy, you have to go back to the original footage. * To make two timeline windows, drag a sequence tab and dock it to another wide window.

I couldn't do what I do without this feature.
