John's right. If one of us died how would we know? I've brought this up before but maybe we should include DVXuser as our "Emergency Contact" for all work or medical related documents. Go ahead and scratch your next of kin's name off and write in Jarred Land at DVXuser.com :D

The funny thing is, I was just thinking the other day--what if I get hit by a car or something and *poof*, I'm history.  I'd just disappear from DVXuser and none of you would have any idea what happened.  Maybe we should all instruct the executors of our estates to post a final message on our behalf.  (of course we'd need to get executors and estates first).

Actually, it does become an interesting issue in the age of internet. I heard an interesting story on the radio where the father of a US soldier killed in Iraq is suing one of the big web mail providers (I am not sure but I think it was Yahoo) to gain access to his son's e-mail. Because it is his son's correspondence, it belongs to the estate - argues the man. Because it's on the mail server, it belongs to the mail provider - argue they.

Personally, I think it's a no-brainer (of course the correspondence belongs to the estate), but I am curious to see how that's going on - will have to do some search on the topic...

Do you think he got busted for doing the "naughty dance" in front of some old ladies or for stealing all the DV equipment? Maybe both.
