missing fingers

I've been playing with the idea of a character that is missing two fingers, and I know there is alot of what I could have the talent where green sleeves on the parts that i want to take out, but I'm not to sure if i would know how to do the stump part make it look good if there is top shots. Any suggestions? How about doing it with a latex and making some type of glove that alows the full fingers to move. Might be bulk, or just an over all fake hand. Ideas? Thanks everyone.

How long do you want these stumps? You could try just adding some appliances to an actor's bent fingers and shoot it from the top of the hand, then switch to a latex hand for palm side up shots.

Consider casting an actor who's actually missing some fingers! By far the easiect way.

Removing fingers is difficult unless you only need very limited angles, even with _lots_ of money - remember Frodo at the end of Return of the King? Not convincing at all...

I was thinking of a prop hand and then, pulling the best way i can think of the glove with the empty sagging fingers for the rest possibly. Its going to look the best

I did severed finger ... see Shed in signature.

It was only for a couple of shots so we built up the area with tissue paper and spirit gum and latex.
