minimum font size?

Is there a rule of thumb for minimum font size legibility in HD. I know with with SD-DVDs you should keep it 18 and over. Any thought, insight, or experience you could share would be appreciated.

I use the same guidelines for HD work as I do for SD. Actually, I try to keep it 24+ and avoid serif fonts.

This is probably overkill. Curious what others do.
