MiniDV corrupted?

Anybody have any suggestions for companies in the Boston area (preferably Boston or North Shore) who could potentially recover MiniDV footage. i shot an event yesterday and one of the two MiniDV tapes is not cooperating. Heavily pixelated, no audio, skipping around. I tried cleaning the heads but hasn't helped. I suspect that it is not going to be recoverable but I need to exhaust any possibilities.

thanks
Mike

What Mini DV brand is it? Have you tried playing it on a different camera? Did you use the same brand cleaning tape as the brand you record on?

Cheers.

I shoot everything on Sony MiniDV and I cleaned the camera heads with a Sony head-cleaning tape. I shot it on a Canon XHA1 and tried to play it back on the same camera and second tape wouldn't play back correctly. I tried playing them both back in a Sony camera and, again, the first tape was fine and second tape would not play at all.

Thanks.

It sounds like a corrupted write. Unrecoverable as the data itself is written wrong or wasnt written at all. I suggest you upgrade if possible.
